Here are some of the reasons why Rogers Communications Inc. was selected as one of Canada's Greenest Employers (2025):
- Rogers manages an extensive waste management program aptly named Get Up and Get Green to help employees sort their waste properly at centralized waste stations (the company's goal is a 70 per cent waste diversion rate) -- and also supports the long-standing Workplace Ambassador program, with employee ambassadors overseeing recycling and reuse programs across all locations
- Rogers continues to transition to a paperless office that includes a long-standing program that has seen millions of sheets of paper transferred into digital versions -- approximately 9.4 million pages have been converted into electronic versions (and all paper copies were recycled appropriately) since the program's inception
- In partnership with several national service providers, Rogers recycles, resells, and refurbishes used computer technology, cell phones, set-top boxes, network, cabling and broadcasting equipment -- office employees also host regular collection drives, with approximately 8,643 tonnes of electronics diverted from landfill in 2023
